Hair Restoration with Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) has been shown to help stimulate hair growth. It is used to treat male pattern baldness or hair loss in both men and women. A small sample of blood is taken from the patient by a trained provider. The platelets are then injected with a small needle into the scalp to stimulate hair growth with the patient’s own growth factor. This can be done in combination with microneedling the PRP into the scalp on select individuals.
